September PTA Association Meeting Agenda

Date/Time: Sept. 11, 2025 @ 5:30pm

Board Members:

Call to Order

Approval of August 2025 Minutes:

·       Treasure report: Current Balance $41,792.11

·       Bingo Night result:

o   $338 (the cost of the pizza and drinks still needs to be calculated)

o   Roughly 200 people attended.

o   People requested a second bingo night in the spring.

·       Release of Checks 240-244 approved

·       Flag Football:  District approved flag football - Mr. Yang has volunteers to coach along with Mr. Payne and Mrs. Hamel. 

·       Issues with Parking and cross guard:

o   It was noted that it takes time for teachers to get out to the crossing area because they have to finish their class.

o   Discussed various ways to accommodate traffic.

o   Daniel Kim asked for separate committee to discuss this instead of at general PTA meeting.

o   Principal Weist has requested the City of Elk Grove to open the parking area for the park.

Upcoming Events:

·       PTA Membership Drive ends Sept 15th 5:00pm

·       Glow Dance Friday Sept 12 at 6:30 p.m.

o   $3 for ticket that comes with a drink. 

o   Foam led lights are extra

o   Maya and Vanessa will chair the event

·               Picnics: Track A - Sept 23rd Track B - Sept 24th Track D - Sept 25th

Trunk or Treat: 

·       Food truck? 

·       DJ said that he cannot do the event

·       Kona Ice food truck?

·       Will give teachers the opportunity to earn $$$ for their classrooms with games

·       Can food drive to operate at the same time-

·       Ashley will chair this event

Future meetings:

·       Mr. Zaker proposed that we switch to zoom meeting instead of team. 

·       Daniel Kim totally feels this is the best and the easiest to host meeting. 

·       Mr. Zaker will provide us with information later.

Purchase a pillar posterboard to sign - 2x3 post can be inserted.
